From the Conference...Our Melbourne Conference was a memorable experience and a privilege to be there. The Flagstaff Gardens Koorie Heritage Walk with Dean Stewart was the start of an eye-opening and as he said, 'heart opening' two days. And we continued to build on what we learnt and felt with Trevor at the Botanical Gardens, Jane and Brian at the Ian Potter Gallery and finally Kimberley at Bunjilaka, in the Melbourne Museum who's interwoven personal story just added more depth to our experience.
It was wonderful to meet all the new librarians in the Network and to catch up again with familiar faces. We learnt so much from each other over meals, cups of tea, walking or standing on a tram.
Thanks again to Bernadette McPherson who's guiding hand led us in all the right directions. And Jenni Greblo, who looked after us all and made many phone calls in the days before!
We hope this Blog and Website will be a vibrant, useful and collaborative space. We need lots of input, so send ideas to Jenni or Margaret, or make a comment. Have a good look at all the tabs at the top (you'll see photos from the conference under the 'Photos' tab) and you might even get a new idea today.
You can see on the RIGHT HAND SIDE 'CONTACT LIST', this list has the names (of all those who responded) of librarian's in the network, what system they use and the best contact times. And don't forget you can always just email that person directly if the phone times don't suit you.
Have a great term everyone, and stay tuned to the Website... (we'll send you an email each time we post).
